"Are these the same sort of church scientists who condemned Gallileo? They sure sound the same to me." The church scientists (usually monks..not bishops) supported Galileo's science..as did the pope. What got Galileo into trouble was his politics. Not a good idea to call the pope "simplicio" (simpleton).
