But for the Rush Limbaugh interview a couple of decades ago, I haven’t watched “60 Minutes” since 1969. That’s when they interviewed an executive from my company, and then falsified and reversed the results by subsequently filming and showing different questions than the ones that he answered. I’ve watched this lemming-like spectacle for years, and it only intensifies during bi-annual midterm elections.
Jockeying for position up and down the media glitterati’s hierarchy of importance is annually determined by who among them makes the most outrageous, hateful, impudent and contrived allegations against conservatives, generally, and President Trump, specifically. Last night featured Lesley Stahl’s 2018 audition tape on “60-Minutes.” She’ll score highly in the “disrespectful ass” and “insufferable sanctimony” categories.
For these anti-American harpies, the results of this career-influencing competition are critically important because its outcome can determine if the invitee wears a moldy, 10-year-old, mothball impregnated cocktail dress from the back of the closet, or a $30,000 Versace loaner with “borrowed” complementary jewelry from Tiffany’s 5th Avenue.
Like any good cloistered society, our preening elitist media vest their cards to avoid detection of this ritual by hard working deplorable schmo’s like you and me. They rightly fear that if discovered, most normal Americans would simply scrape their unearned self-images from the bottoms of their shoes, as if returning from a long nighttime stroll through the exercise yard of a dog kennel.
Sounds like some self puffery here that is accepted by the writer. Were there any person with such ability he would be paid mucho dinero to be a formal or informal consultant to the DNC.
