President Trump sat down for a lengthy interview with Lesley Stahl on CBS' "60 Minutes," discussing a wide variety of topics from climate change to foreign policy to the Mueller investigation.
The big picture: Trump was discursive and often combative while defending some of his administration's most controversial policies, including family separation at the border. He ended one particularly tense exchange with Stahl by reminding her, "Lesley, it's okay. In the meantime, I'm president and you're not."
Show less Climate change "I think somethings happening. Somethings changing and itll change back again. I don't think it's a hoax, I think there's probably a difference. But I don't know that it's manmade. I will say this. I don't want to give trillions and trillions of dollars. I don't want to lose millions and millions of jobs. I dont want to be put at a disadvantage." "I'm not denying climate change. But it could very well go back. You know, we're talking about over a millions of years. They say that we had hurricanes that were far worse than what we just had with Michael." Reality check: The vast majority of scientists do believe that climate change is a real and dangerous phenomenon, highlighted by last week's report by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that warned of potential catastrophe unless the world took "unprecedented" steps to combat the issue.

Reality check, there’s been climate change since the before Moses was a kid.
Fixed
I wonder if the elderly Stahl changed her Depends after the interview ? ??
Leslie was like a child asking the same question over and over because she didn’t like the answer Trump gave (wasn’t the answer she wanted or expected).
I have not watched 60 minutes in decades and couldn’t believe how fixated Leslie was in trying to get Trump to answer the answer she wanted, even asking Trump well can I say from that you mean this, kind of thing, and Trump had to say no you can’t say that.
I thought she was horrid. She argued about everything and wouldn’t let him answer without interrupting. He did call her out on the way she was asking questions in a biased way.
I think he held his own. And he got to tell what he really thinks about Washington and its politicians.
Can’t stand her. Just like the Melania interview, this covered no new ground, but I did enjoy the “I’m President, you’re not” line.
My husband insisted on watching that nasty woman from SeeBS because Trump was on. She was just another deranged lefty with TDS. Painful to have CBS on for that many minutes.
The earth has had man-made climate change ever since Adam and Eve sinned and God cursed the ground, pronouncing that Adam would now have to farm by the sweat of his brow. Later, when God became fed up with the evil people in the world, He sent the Great Flood to drown every air breathing creature except for Noahs family and the animals in the ark. In Elijahs time, there was a seven year drought as punishment for Israels rebellion against God in worshiping Baal.
Most scientists dont believe in this record of man-made climate change caused by the sins of human beings. They should. God is in charge of all things.
"Well, I I don't pledge anything. But I will tell you, I have no intention of doing that. I think its a very unfair investigation because there was no collusion of any kind. There is no collusion. I don't want to pledge. Why should I pledge to you? "
Lesley Stahl was nasty and disrespectful to the president, not to mention obtuse. She attacked him for not being personally going after Putin. Trump rightly smacked her down by saying he armed the Ukranians while in comparison Obama sent them pillows and blankets.
Stahl was clueless when Trump pointed out he’s as concerned about Chinese election meddling as Russian meddling. It’s not enough for CBS as they put a little montage of Gen. Flynn, Manafort and Cohen together as their implication that there is collusion. Stahl’s attacks were right out of the liberal playbook including the immigration and family separation garbage.
The president wasted his time talking to See BS, but he handled her well.
I do believe the only time she frowned was when Mondale referenced Ronald Reagan.
Actually, "bristled" might be a more accurate term.
Ha - yes, that was a good one.
And I think that the whole thing was made worse buy some REALLY chitty editing.
DJT ought to steer clear of these stupid MSM crypto-traps.
They are never going to do a decent interview....never...because those who do the interviews continually try to set up those they interview to say what they want them to say or look like fools in explaining.
Look how great Melania did...but every story written about it tore her apart.
bret baer would be good interview
I loved Melania’s answers....she wasn’t about to be set up and didn’t fall for it when he tried. She was totally in control of that interview.
That Stahl b*tch would have NEVER been disrespectful to Obama or Hitlery, nor would she have constantly interrupted those two lefties.
Yes.....but he’s got his head together More than Most. He’s in a league of his own. I don’t always agree with hiM but he says what’s on his Mind.
Are you serious?
Bret is a never Trump
