Sadly, the losing party is Germany’s 2nd most conservative, and it benefited mostly the leftists.
AfD must also be considered a winner along with Greens. AfD went from 0% in Bavaria to around 11%. The really huge loser here is SPD which must now rethink their national coalition with Merkel.

Both blocs are to the right of the CSU.
