Pentagon to pay for surgery for transgender soldier

“WASHINGTON — An active-duty service member underwent gender transition surgery Tuesday in the first such procedure approved under a waiver allowing the Pentagon to pay for the operation.”
Forgive me, but it would be a shame if they all died on the table.
Once they opened up the door on medical payments, I think it was going to generate a massive long-term problem. You could easily have 300 military members with 14-year old kids who want a transgender surgery option, and you’d suddenly start to pay for them. None of this was clearly thought out.
