I always believe the United States could be a energy exporting nation. For too many years our politicians (and the media) lied to us and we were at the mercy of OPEC.

Now that we have shown we do not need OPEC or more importantly the Saudies, it is time to rework the relationship between our two nations.

We already are the 2nd largest oil exporter, expected to be first next year. We are already the largest producer.

https://www.businessinsider.com/us-will-export-oil-most-in-world-2018-5

“The U.S. exported a record 8.3 million barrels per day (bpd) last week of crude oil and petroleum products, the government also said Wednesday. Top crude oil exporter Saudi Arabia’s, for its part, exported 9.3 million bpd in January, while Russia exported 7.4 million bpd, the bank added.”

We are expected to exceed the Saudis next year.
