He’s from Canada, apparently. They were calling him Canadian Bacon. I don’t know what Canadian bacon is - perhaps it’s back bacon, also called Peameal Bacon.
Canadian Bacon in the US is more like thin ham, doesn’t have the fat of regular bacon.
