THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
HARRY WARREN
PAGE MISS GLORY
Marion Davies had left MGM for Warner Brothers due to the influence of her longtime lover William Randolph Hearst. Marion was the owner of Rosebud, which was not a sled! Her first appearance at Warner Brothers was a box office disaster, and the film is forgotten today. The studio was getting into a rut.
The song is best remembered for its appearance in a cartoon of the same name that functioned as a music video. Baby Boomers heard it this way on childrens TV. Its definitely a catchy tune.
