The media's take on the Kavanaugh hearings is they fired up both bases but drove moderates away from the GOP.

If that were true you would see improvement for the GOP in Senate races are in Republican strongholds but deterioration in States like Michigan. But the opposite is happening.

Not in MI but I’d really like to see Stabenow get beaten. I saw James a while back being interviewed and he really appears to be a sharp guy who will support Trump all the way.

Heard on the radio news a couple of hours ago that James fundraising in the last reporting period was double what Stabenow raised.

:: a statewide poll commissioned by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and conducted by Mitchell Research Communications of likely voters ::

Hmmmmm, that seems in need of fixin’.

a statewide poll commissioned by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and conducted by Mitchell Research Communications of likely UNION-member voters.

Now, it has a ring of truth to it.

Re> The Democrat’s 13% lead

13% was a lie then and is a lie now.

Kid Rock needs to get out there, rally, and shake up the state in the next 3 weeks.

Kanye too (I don't know what state he's from but he certainly can help the GOP get more independents).

Realistically I think we’re going to lose the governerships in Illinois and Michigan. I hope Scott Walker can pull it out in Wisconsin. I think the Senate is safe however.

Moderates love mob riots. Can’t get enough of them.

If the hearing drove moderates away, then they have serious head problems. Just remember moderates, that may well be you on the stand of inquisition next.

Interesting thing in the survey is on page 8 - James did best among 18-29 year old demographic.

Unions have paid too much money to buy Stabenow, they are not going to give that up lightly.

Re: Michigan - Schuette has run one of THE WORST campaigns I’ve ever seen in all my years in politics. The guy has NO MESSAGE, NO PRESENCE, virtually zero ads and has not given the public a single reason to vote for him.

Whitmer, on the other hand, is telegenic/nice looking, has great, simple messaging (”let’s get it done!”) and is saturating the airwaves non-stop. I can see how the general public who doesn’t follow politics like I do could EASILY get pulled in by her. What they fail to realize is she’s Granholm 2.0 - with a sprinkle of Pelosi mixed in.

I’d love for James to win over Stabenow, but realistically don’t think the guy has a chance. My prediction is at least a 5-6% Stabenow win, and Governor will be even wider with Whitmer (much as I hate to say it) absolutely crushing Schuette.

Why we can’t seem to run decent candidates (Schuette is the WORST) is beyond me.

I’m a former Michigan resident (still a Michigander though) and spent some time there during the primary. Whitmer looks like a more strident and vindictive version of Jenny Granholm.

I really wanted the Indian guy with the great James Brown Hairstyle to win. He would have been more fun to ridicule.
