I know. It was only my nostalgic expression of affection for one of my favorite ‘rides’

“One old school engineer sitting in a cube who was there back in the day saved the day, when they asked him. They went back to the design that worked...”

Reminds me of the time I needed a small part at a welder/mill shop in Seattle. The guy started chatting about how the Navy had sent over a rush order for some pump part.

“Except they sent over a drawing that shows a 2-inch coupling. But this is for a XYZ destroyer, and they only have AAB pumps on them - and those are all inch and a half. And of course now I can’t reach anybody over there - and they need it tomorrow morning. Well - I’m making them one that’s and inch-and-a-half, ‘cuz that’s what they need.”

I never saw him again - I wonder if he was right? He sure sounded like he knew his stuff.
