FULL TITLE: Breaking: Rod Rosenstein Refuses to Turn Over Subpoenaed Memos – Backs Out of Thursday’s Congressional Hearing

As we reported earlier today Rod Rosenstein is one of the most conflicted and corrupt officials in US history.

According to multiple reports, Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein has given a verbal resignation to Chief of Staff John Kelly following an explosive NYT report he wanted to wear a wire and oust Trump from office. Last week, Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC), who previously filed articles of impeachment against Rosenstein, called for the Deputy Attorney General to appear before Congress under oath this week.

But today Rosenstein notified Congress he will not turn over the subpoenaed memos and will not appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

Rep. Jim Jordan ✔ @Jim_Jordan -NYT reports (McCabe memos) Rosenstein discussed recording the President -FBI Chief Counsel Jim Baker: Rosenstein was serious about recording POTUS -McCabe memos subpoenaed by Congress

Rosenstein won’t turn over memos, and he’s a no-show for tomorrow’s scheduled questioning. 3:44 PM - Oct 10, 2018 11.8K 8,550 people are talking about this

Where is the line drawn? Deputy Secretary Rod Rosenstein is allegedly, via existing testimony just coming to light, a co-conspirator in an attempted coup d’etat against a legal and legitimately elected president of the United States of America.

Doesn’t that warrant some action, some sort of attention, even a lifted eyebrow? Does this all make Rod Rosenstein the Aaron Burr of the 21st Century? How about a peep or two, Jeff? Did he recuse himself from the planet earth
in all respects?

Well, obviously the rules are only for the little people. If I get a subpoena from Congress, I think I’d have to comply, or else face the consequences.

Major public figures, of course, can do as they like.

We shall see what really happens here... I’ve heard different things. Specifically that Rosenstein is conflicted because he was lied to over and over again by the outgoing dems, comey etc.

"What does Trump like about this guy? I don’t get it."

It's what President Trump is holding over rosie's head that counts.

He has to wait until after the midterms. The 'rats would love for Trump to fire him right now.

Keep your eyes on the prize - increases in the house and senate first ... then BOOM!

I think POTUS is playing RR like a fiddle. These career Washington bureaucrats are apparently no match for a big time NY developer. I’m sure when the time is just right, POTUS squashes Mr. Peepers like a freakin bug

I think Trump is biding his time and waiting till the congress Republicans impeach and remove Rosenstein,

He can then smile like a Cheshire cat, wash his hands like Pontius Pilates, and claim ‘I had no dog in this fight’.

Then proceed to name Noel Francisco as a replacement, and have him terminate the Muller investigation.

I think that would mean Trump is putting too much hope on spineless congress republicans. But one can always dream...

I don’t think he will bother. I am starting to realize he will just move on to the next fight. Why re-fight a fight you have won?

Rosenstein is running out the clock, betting that the Dems will win control of the House on November 6th. Paul Ryan is helping the Dems win with his passivity and occasional snarks at President Trump who is having to do too much campaigning on his own.

Rod Rosenstein is an employee of the executive branch. He supposedly works for the president. Despite egregious stonewalling and outright refusals he’s still there.

At some point Trump has to hold him accountable or fire him. At the very least he should have released the FISA docs which in themselves should be enough to remove him.

Rosenstein’s insubordination and refusal to submit to congressional oversight is becoming a very serious problem for Trump. As much as I hate to say it, allowing this nonsense to go on is damaging the president’s authority and credibility.
