I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve reached the point of no return with it’s predictions of doom and destruction nowhere to be seen and the Gaia worshipers just come up with a new end of the world date.

It would be more accurate to say we can quit saving the planet by judicial decree or unelected administrative fiat.
If the left wants to save the planet and ruin the US doing so, it will have to vote and be held responsible by the voters.
