Very disappointing news. If they were functioning, they would meet the fate of the dead buoys with this storm.
I have property off Gulf Beach HWY in Pcola. Nothing I can do from where I am (mn) other than hope and pray for the best and keep my insurance phone number by the phone.
I really think they need to privatize the buoys in the US.For example here in the keys many of the major lighthouses on the reef have nada. Private enterprise could do it a lot better than Noaa.
