Clinton highlighted the importance of advocates and activists like Nadia and Wai Wai during the discussion that followed the award ceremony.
“When you listen to Nadia’s story, you realize the importance of law — the rule of law — due process, judicial systems, international organizations that have to be sustained and supported to set standards and hold people accountable and serve as places of recourse for the Nadias of the world,” she said.
“It is hard to continue to speak out and stand up against what you think of as obvious wrongs, but do not grow weary. Don’t get discouraged,” Clinton urged.

The problem is what law, exactly, has been broken?

Two lawyers having lunch isn't against the law.
One lawyer giving the FBI's head lawyer some papers isn't against the law. "Here, we think you should see this". One could even say it's virtuous!
Was it illegal for Clinton campaign to hid oppo research behind a law firm?
Was it illegal for Perkins Coie to hide oppo research as a law firm?
Was it illegal for Clinton/ Perkins Coie to pay a foreigner to do oppo research?
Was it illegal for the Democrat's agent to solicit information from Russian intelligence assets, either current or former?

I think it comes down to did someone who knew the source of the muh Russia investigation prepare, submit or sign off on the FISA warrant without telling the court that "all this shit was bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign, BTW, and routed through their law firm to disguise that it was oppo research being done by a British guy based on Russian sourced intel

But that probably isn't this Perkins Coie lawyer. It might be someone like Comey. Presumably the top lawyer told him. Did Comey sign off on the warrants.

Anyway, it's mouse nuts. The Crime: you failed to disclose that you knew the source of the dossier when you used it to get the FISA warrant.

A minor process violation when framed that way.

Yeah, I'm playing devil's advocate here, but we've been over-promised and under-delivered on this topic it's justified to be extremely skeptical of claims that *this* finally is the smoking gun.
