It is pretty horrible. I haven’t seen other angles of the crash. I’m surprised the vehicle appears to be that intact, though. (can’t really see the front end)
I lost a good friend about 5 years ago in a freak accident. BIG vehicle. I didn’t know about it for several days. One night he was driving (we were going to dinner) and I asked him to put on his seatbelt. He replied it made him uncomfortable (while driving). I suspect he was not wearing it. I never saw the vehicle afterwards. Which is probably good. I don’t think he could have avoided it but I’ll never know if he would have had a chance with it. I rode with him 2 times that I can recall, maybe 3. I know he never wore it. BIG SUV, too.
Unless the brakes were inoperable.
Not much more but about driver and his wife.

I am getting to dislike the FBI very, very much! Back when I was a girl, some of my best friends’ Dads were G-men ...these men were impeccable...they had to meet the highest standards. One died in the line of duty. What has happened to the FBI?
Looks like sudden jihad syndrome and the opportunity to kill 17 Jooos.
But thats just me.
No. They were just a happy bunch of innocents, destined for horrible tragedy. God be with their parents (four girls in one family), their grandparents, all relatives and friends. This is the fault of the Cuomo bunch, who take bribes and incentives to authorize companies likethis Limo group.
Probably - had to keep him “solvent”...Any bets on whether they over-pushed and sent him over the edge...with a few bonus victims to go with him....
Even so, had he been in the lowest possible gear, he might have been ten to twenty MPH slower, and who knows the potential change in outcome. Even with total brake failure he should have had over 100 yards to get into a lower gear, before hitting the embankment.
The last news I heard was the owner of the company was in Pakistan. Convenient.
Not surprised.
