I hesitate agreeing with you because I might appear to be a pain in the butt,,but one of the errors that annoys me and it appears in the failing New York Times, for Heaven’s sake:

split infinitives:
To not see, Is a split infinitive s/b NOT to see.
to not apply s/b Not to apply.

I may make a mistake when in a hurry or whatever, but that is not one of them.
