Community outraged over Forest Hill’s “insensitive” band performance at Brookhaven High School (MS)

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Pictures of the Forest Hill High School halftime band performance during their game against Brookhaven High School are going viral on social media.
Many are saying the performance depicted students dressed as doctors and nurses holding SWAT team members at gunpoint.
Two Brookhaven police officers were killed in the line of duty responding to a shots fired call last week.

Ashamed to say I live in Ms, And to pull this crap in Brookhaven, where they just lost 2 officers killed in the line of duty,,,
It had to be Jackson though,, some Board members, 1 principle and 1 band director better loose their damn job over this shit, and students expelled!

A total of 1,136 students were enrolled in Forest Hill High during the 2006-2007 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 51% female and 49% male. The racial makeup of the school was 96.39% African American, 2.90% White, 0.35% Hispanic, and 0.35% Asian.
That was 11 years ago. Most likely even less "diverse" now. 8>)

I lived in Mississippi most of my life, and lived in the Jackson area over 20 years. Jackson Public Schools is now 98% African-American. Forest Hill High School was once an all-white country school, before JPS incorporated it in the 1970's.
Forest Hill High School used to be called the Rebels, and wore Red and Blue. Now they're called The Patriots.
Jacktown is known for their weekend "Gun and Knife" shows, what with all the violence and murder going on there.

Wasn’t Forest Hill called the Forest Hill Rebels and the Confederate flag was a part of their insignia back in the day? I know they were red, white, and blue. And I know I wasn’t feeling like I was being raped or groped or anything when I visited there, but my memories are really foggy about Forest Hill. Forest Hill was our rival high school. It was more white and more rednecky than my school. My how times change.
