CNN's political director suggested Thursday that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is likely to be confirmed after Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) voiced approval of how the FBI conducted its supplementary investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against the judge.
"I think the ballgame’s over here," CNN political director David Chalian said on the network after Collins said the FBI's review appeared to be "very thorough."
"I think that’s why … Susan Collins's statement is a hugely significant moment, because the entire argument from the Democratic side about the investigation was that it wasn’t thorough, that it wasn’t complete," Chalian added.

If a man is nominated more of the same, rape and I wouldn’t put it past the left to throw out a child abuse charge either.
If it is someone like Amy Comey Barrett look for full blown anti-Christian and people of faith bigotry. If you are a person of faith you will be deemed unfit to hold a government office.
With the left when you you and the government are your god you have no moral compass as to how low can you go, it doesn’t even enter your mind. Think Kavanagh times 1000.
Now that the republicans can confirm Kavanaugh without the Dems look for Manchin and Heidkamp to pile on and vote to confirm to try to save their political skins. They are useless because they would not vote to confirm if the Republicans did not have the fifty votes. Hopefully their Republican opponents will drive this message home.
That’s why I say dispense with the hearing BS for someone who has already been confirmed to a US Appeals Court. Someone who passed with 55 votes does not need to be re-vetted. Take them straight to the floor.
The reality is that Kavanaugh was going to confirmed until Feinstein’s dirty antics. That was successful in forcing those voting for him to seek political cover. That cover was the FBI investigation. Once that showed what they knew it would the weak among us had the political cover to vote they way they intended all along. Most of this was Kabuki for the less than courageous.
That the process showed Democrats for the vicious smear merchants they are was simply a bonus.

I do not believe Ford was ever assaulted let alone by Kavanaugh. I do think she is an overwrought activist nut who tried to stop his nomination by falsely accusing him anonymously but she did not count on the dems leaking her name
and having to go all in by testifying.The great thing about not being a politician is that you can say what you truly believe despite the sloganeering narratives of the MeToo movement. There are women who are truthful and women who have been assaulted. Ford is just not one of them.

Being a conservative means you automatically waive all special protections as a member of a 'protected class'. They will go after Trump's first female nominee, tooth and claw.
all they had to do was “turn 3” and in the end they turned none....
Except the millions of voters that will now turn out to lay waste to them this fall....
This was the single DUMBEST play I have ever seen in Politics in my life....
Dems keep their head down, and they retake the house... and can spend the next two years obstructing...
Instead, they will now not retake the house, the Senate will have an even greater R majority (which was going to happen anyway), and the President will have an even greater MANDATE, and less obstruction to implement his Agenda....
This was a LOSE LOSE from the get go.. Even if they manage to stop Kavanaugh, They were never not going to lose seats in the Senate... so Trump can either put him back up, or put up someone else just as constructionalist...
The fact the Dems ever saw there was an upside for them in any of this, shows how out of touch with reality they are collectively.
