I wish I had a dad like Trump's. "By age 3, Mr. Trump was earning $200,000 a year in todays dollars from his fathers empire. He was a millionaire by age 8. By the time he was 17, his father had given him part ownership of a 52-unit apartment building. Soon after Mr. Trump graduated from college, he was receiving the equivalent of $1 million a year from his father. The money increased with the years, to more than $5 million annually in his 40s and 50s."
Good for Trump!!!

I am sure that at some point during his long New York City real estate career, Trump did something illegal, evaded taxes and hung around with unsavory people. But I knew all that when I voted for him. He has been a known commodity for decades. This article probably exaggerates something that Trump’s family did that was close to the line of legality or perhaps illegal. But even if its true, there is nothing new in this article that we haven’t known for years. Next the NYT will have a breathtaking expose of Trump’s ties to the New York Mafia. And I won’t care about that either.

This sounds like normal course estate planning to me, including generational bypass trusts, etc.
Let's get everyone in a few stadiums that participated in this kind of "questionable scheme" and see how much of the top 0.1% we net. Guaranteed 100% of them as there was nothing illegal going on except good tax advising.
Next?

Certainly sounds like Mueller leaked the tax records to the NYT.

The tax laws are complicated. I ran into a situation where if I was robbed then I could take the money off on my taxes, or was it if the money taken was an act of conversion? I don’t recall now. I was out the money and calling it one thing I could get a $28,000 tax credit versus no credit for calling it something else. I chose to call it whichever got me the tax credit. I was audited. I managed to keep the audit open for an entire year by waiting until the last possible moment and then taking whatever they had asked for to their office and having it time-stamped in. Finally, I was wrecking havoc on the auditor’s closure statistics and she wrote me off. I got my credit. Tax laws are complicated and arbitrary. Everybody should know the law and use it to their advantage whenever they can.

And, no doubt, there will be an anonymous Tax Examiner who will speak of a miscatagorized deduction in a tax return 36 years ago.

Where is their investigation of Kennedy money, and how much the Kennedy kids received from the fortune their father made illegally during prohibition? What about Soros and his kids?

Someone must have been very excited at the idea of trying to destroy a persons life. I can only imagine their adrenaline and excitement. Smh.
Their efforts are a big failure tho. Wish I had that gong from the gong show.
Such evil in this world tho.
