Don’t forget Florida...Scott will win.
Machin will vote to confirm. UNLESS his vote would be the one to make it 50.. then he MAY take the big bribe from the left and end his career and vote NO. But as long as its clear Kavanaugh will be confirmed no doubt he will vote to confirm. He know a vote NO ends his political career.
Of the red state democrats hes the most likely to survive, but a no vote on Kavanaugh and he knows hes done.
Kavanaugh will be confirmed with 52-55 votes
Well, the sentiments are good, but the Senate is not supposed to be a representative body.
Ripe.
Constitution was amended (17th) to allow the direct election of Senators. Presumably this was done to make Senate more representative (prior to that, Senate was elected by State legislatures). Admittedly this was a bad idea but expecting Manchin to represent his constituents is consistent with the 17th Amendment.

Get confirmed with one or two rats and call it a great bi-partisan vote, with both parties coming together. That will totally blow the MSM’s little minds.
The solution for Manchin is to come out strongly in support of Kavanaugh now. Right now. But not just supportive. He needs to be as indignant as Lindsey Graham at the sleazy tactics of his dem colleagues and say so. Loudly. The he might win. Immediately after that, change parties, citing his lingering disgust with the dems and his inability to reconcile that with his own moral and straight arrow ways (in other words, avoid being punished relentlessly by Schumer).
If he was smart he would support Kavanagh and hope for a win and come winking and blinking to McConnell and ask for goodies to switch parties and do so. As a Democrat in WV his days are numbered in office otherwise.
