West Virginia residents pressed Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin this weekend about whether he would vote in favor of Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
At the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival parade in Milton on Sunday, the senator marched alongside voters who asked him one after the other if he planned on voting or urged him to vote for Kavanaugh.
Manchin would only say that he would have a final answer to those questions by the end of the week. One parade-goer continually shouted Kavanaughs name, and Manchin would only say, Thank you.
Another yelled out, Vote Kavanaugh! and Manchin responded, I hear you.
One woman asked Manchin, Are you going to vote for the judge? Manchin only told her to wait until Friday for that answer.
Another voter told Manchin, If you dont vote for him, I wont vote for you. Manchin said, I get that a lot.

“Donnelly has already said no.”
So has McCaskill and so has Tester. The only two Rats who have not committed are Manchin and Heitkamp, and Heitkamp is going down to defeat no matter what.
“There is no way Flake votes no.”
I beg to differ.
Donnelly backtracked, didn’t he, saying he would wait to see what the FBI report said?
“Im still guessing Manchin and Flake are YES votes. Murkowski and Collins are NO votes.”
The scuttlebutt is that Flake is a NO vote and the twins are YES votes. Manchin will wait to see how the floor vote is going before he casts his vote.
Flake’s latest comment is that Kavanaugh’s reaction was appropriate for someone who was wrongly accused.
“The scuttlebutt is that Flake is a NO vote and the twins are YES votes. Manchin will wait to see how the floor vote is going before he casts his vote.”
If you are right, Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
Flake said he’d vote YES if the FBI supplement didn’t turn up anything new. That is most likely the case. So we will see if Flake is true to his word or flakey.
He’s already voted yes. How much would you like to wager?
Can he do that if the floor vote is alphabetical?
Or was the previous posting incorrect?
“Hes already voted yes.”
Only to move the vote out of committee, NOT for confirmation.
So you admit he voted favorably forKavanaugh.
Thank you.
“So you admit he voted favorably forKavanaugh.”
His vote was only to move the nomination out of committee, and it was CONDITIONAL. He has NOT voted to confirm Kavanaugh, and neither has any other senator; nor has he said that he WILL vote to confirm him. The confirmation vote will likely come on Saturday.
