FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) Republican candidate Kevin Cramer is ahead in the latest polling by Valley News Live on the U.S. Senate race in North Dakota. The poll, conducted by Strategic Research Associates of Austin, Texas, has Cramer in front of the incumbent Democrat Heidi Heitkamp by 10 percentage points, 51-41. The difference is in male voters, where Cramer garners 56.% to Heitkamp's nearly 35%. Females are virtually tied (46.6%-46.5%).

A total of 650 likely voters were surveyed between September 17-27th on both landline and cell phones.

In another question that VNL asked, 60% of the likely voters in North Dakota support the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. 27% were opposed.

Keep in mind, the poll was conducted during the disclosure that the judge may have engaged in sexual misconduct, while in high school or college, before last weeks testimony by Kavanaugh and one of his accusers, before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Look for more results from the VNL polling in the coming days.

Heitkamp is going to get crushed regardless of how she votes. Time for her to abandon partisan politics and do the right thing. At least she will be able to leave the Senate with her head held high.

As soon as I saw her announce last week that she was voting against Kavanaugh I figured she probably knows she's doomed.

She's lining up her next job.

I left a note on her Facebook page yesterday.
A NO vote for Judge K means a YES vote for future Senator Cramer.

The closer the Kavanaugh vote gets to the election, the worse it will be for the Dems. Late this week is about 30 days to go - so it’s fresh in voter’s minds.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Which means the gap is going to grow even more in polls AFTER the hearing when all the R’s are totally motivated to vote out each and every D that they can.

SRA Poll shows ND Senate race numbers, reaction to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh case

Obviously a hot topic lately is the pending confirmation of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Sixty percent of voters in North Dakota support Kavanaugh with 27 percent expressing opposition. The poll was conducted during the recent disclosure that Kavanaugh may have engaged in sexual misconduct while in high school and college, but before the Sept. 27 testimony by Kavanaugh and one of his accusers before the Senate Judiciary Committtee.

She's lining up her next job.

If that’s true and, if her constituents are as strongly in favor of Kavanaugh as the article says, then she’s clearly voting against the people she promised to represent for her own self interest. If this is the case, then she’s the ultimate gutter trash.

I hope it’s true. 650 voters with no methodology from a group I’ve never heard from though. It did say a combo of land and cellphones. Hopefully his opponent sees this.
