He is not being nominated as Secretary of Defense. They denied John Tower years ago because he was an active excessive drinker. He promised to to quit drinking while he held the position. His fellow senators still denied him. That was a position that required 7/24/365 sobriety. Speaking of that, nobody in the press questioned Hillary’s sobriety while running for president. She is a known drinker.
