I’m pretty sure that the Republicans need 50 votes to confirm Kavanaugh. No 50 votes, no confirmation. On Friday, we only had 48 votes, because Murkowski and Collins insisted on a FBI Investigation. What the Republicans should have done in this scenario?

They should have given Ford a time to show up, and if she didn’t take the vote.

She diddled with them for several weeks while she played Grassley like a violin.

He could have played hard ball with her. She was a flier, and yet she lied and said she couldn’t fly. He offered to come to her, and now she says she didn’t know, even though it was in the news for days.

I could go on. There was not offense on our team.

Grassley backed up, then backed up again, then backed up again...

You never win backing up.

I think Collins is a no regardless of the FBI. There is $1+ million promised to her opponent if she votes yes. The money will go against her whatever she votes. Murkowski knows she will get primaried if she votes NO. If not Manchin, it’s Pence for the win.
