I can’t say this is a definitive explanation but i have some thoughts : Because 1) they were horribly persecuted often came from nothing and tend to not just stick up for but advocate for the have nots/little guy/unrepresented du jour extending to, now amazingly, illegals (who break the Judeo-Christian Commandment of not stealing whenever they take from govt services) and Muslim nemeses; 2) for reasons good (see persecution ^ (1)) and bad many have an anti-Christian / anti-Catholic animus and see the GOP as the party of Christians / Evangelicals; 3) something that’s also not discussed is that much of the impetus for legal abortion came from the Jewish community - the Talmudic take on what’s a baby seems to extend to the time a baby was exiting the birth canal and anytime before was OK to terminate. So that attitude is not shared with the GOP. 4) Because by and large they are still an insular and relatively unintegrated community, they still support certain ideology en bloc and Jewish candidates that do not stray from the above ^. This explains in part how Jewish Democrat congressmen and women get elected in urban Areas with a large Jewish electorate Furthermore many detest those who intermarry or disagree politically for example Lew Lehrman who I think would have made a fine NY governor But many Jews were motivated to vote against him not because of his politics which were liberal / centrist GOP but because of his “shiksa” wife. This rationale shocked me to the core. Further furthermore, some of the things they believe about Christians and the GOP are ridiculous and fabulous, conflated by their limited interactions with non-Jews which are as ridiculous as any of the things non-Jews believed about them- one of my best friends, a Jew, has a ban extremely learned brother who went to Harvard Law (with the purple lipped rat eared dogeater future pResident no less) but because of a conversation he had with an Evangelical came to believe that *all* Christians supported Israel not because of any biblical exhortation to do so, but because the Rapture and ascension to Heaven would not take place until a Judenrein Israel emerged from a global conflict.

As a lapsed Catholic who despises the current (D)generate and Catholic leadership and the latter’s incredible newfound support for all things queer and illegal immigrant, I can truly say I’ve never been driven by identity politics as much as Jews and my Jewish friends. My progenitors were certainly (D) as that party brought them representation when they needed some but most of us left over time when we saw we were exploited as we climbed the social and economic ladder and were no longer politically useful other than as a Piggy bank. Yet the Jewish social and economic support structure informal and orherwise that still exists today when counterparts like Italian German and Irish societies such as Sons of Italy have waned and become marginal, is to be envied, and ensures survival.

+1. You are correct except for about 20 percent that can be reasoned with. Ok maybe 15 percent.

Why do dems get the black votes?

It’s simple....

They all remember when they were all slaves.

Other than that, no logical reason.

Now, they’re slaves to the democratic party, for absolutely no logical reason.

So, when it comes to their status, slaves way back then, and slaves today. Same democratic party controlled them 100-300 years ago, and still do.

Yes, but don’t forget, the Democrats have a lock on the Transgender vote, all 300 of them.

Trump today polled at 30% black approval.

That’s unbelievable. Throw in the “don’t know/won’t answer” (figuring half are “shy Trumpers” who are afraid to say so in public), he is at levels not seen by any R since Reagan in 1980.

Kanye is partially responsible for this. He is giving black people “permission” to support Trump. It’s big.

Cuz it’s easier then actually thinking. Who cares if they invented the KKK to suppress their ancestors vote, invented Jim Crow laws and segregation, as well as destroyed the family unit through welfare and exterminated 30 million of their race. See a ‘D’ and vote......almost like Pavlov’s dog.
