Sen Whitehouse wasn’t really on my radar until the BK hearings, but, man, what a snotty bastard. His inquisition about the yearbook was one of the most despicable displays by a politician I’ve ever seen. His ultra-waspish alma mater, St Paul’s, has had no shortage of sex scandals. Maybe his time there should be put under a microscope. Also, reading a bit about the SOB, apparently there’s a fairly strong case that he engaged in insider stock trading.
Yeah I honestly never even heard of the guy. I have never been so revolted by a politician - I mean I think I have downright affection for Bill Clinton by comparison - ok I do have equal animus for Hillary, to be sure...
But I too Googled him, found the stuff about St. Pauls, his uber elite background, the insider trading, etc - I guess his son got a DWI in 2012 too - which shows you that the Whitehouse family are probably not teetotalers. Kav asked him “what do you like to drink, Senator?” and looking back, it was referring to his own personal life, not just being sarcastic.
