JUST IN: President George W. Bush has called several moderate Republican senators, red-state Democrats to whip votes for Kavanaugh, a total surprising move for the former President who spent the past years trying to please his new friends in the mainstream media - WaPo.

Amen. (But we must keep the prayers coming.)
Amen...same here. Thanks for posting this.
Not really a surprise. Kavanaugh’s one of his guys.
I think W has decent instincts (in fact I know he does, I know a Wounded Warrior whom he has visited regularly). I would think he would not want to let a decent man go down in a fabricated smear.
Please vote.
If a Bush loves him . . . I’m not so sure we should. I think a lot of us thought that Kennedy was going to be a staunch conservative vote when he was nominated by our great president Ronald Reagan.
I don’t trust anything from the Bushes.
Your prayers were answered!
;)
Sounds like W has been inspired by my Senator, Lindsey Graham’s comments at the Kavanaugh inquisition yesterday.
even if he’s 25% more conservative than Kennedy that’s a plus.
The hard work has already been done.
Thanks for nothing.
Does 43 see the danger to future confirmation hearings? I’ve been wondering if he could ever see past the new world order crap.
Wow!! Great to know!!
Or maybe he is trying to help Susan Collins, who is in a tough spot. He wants something in Maine.

You can never be 100% sure of any Justice. The Left was against Souter. I remember them asking me to sign some petition to have his nomination submarined. Look what happened to him.
Yes, and he’s spoken up for him already through this process.
Kavanaugh rose throughout the Bush administration, and in DC, he isn’t particularly identified with Trump. He was simply a respected, long-time conservative legal mind, and Trump picked him simply for that reason.
As such, Bush isn’t sticking his neck out here.
Wow, Lindsey and W. shoring up the GOP. We’ll take any help we can get.
