I think Don, Jr. should temper some of his personal actions a bit. Just the optics of departing from the mother of his five children and immediately glomming on to older Faux news babes doesn’t look good in flyover country. I know I’m a dinosaur in this day and age, but there may, just may, be more than a few people who are swayed by morals.

Did he do the departing?

I thought she did.

I believe I read that Don Jr.’s wife initiated the divorce. If true, nothing untoward about him dating again

I do agree with you about his actions - I cringe when I think of his kids having to deal with this, and while they’ll never want for material things, you cannot buy happiness, a feeling of security, etc. Those kids are as vulnerable to their parents splitting up as anyone else.

That said, if this is his only time doing something like this, and he’s happily married in 14 or 18 years with his present kids fairly well-adjusted, this will hardly be a blip on the radar. Besides, who are the people in flyover country going to vote for, Chelsea Clinton or someone who is, for all intents and purposes, an ideological and moral clone?
