Very important to check the dates of when the first news stories appeared about Romney potentially picking Kavanagh as a supreme court nominee, and when she first told her therapist about this alleged attack.
I think as part of the ‘act’...she will show up but once Grassley says you have to be sworn in....there will be some argument on her part and the Democratic Senators there, and about ten minutes later...Grassley will say ‘well, we are done here, so I’ll open the vote to move this to the full senate...all in favor, raise your hands.’
She absolutely cannot do a sworn statement...it’d be highly damaging to her, and like you suggest....she and the players never felt they’d have to play to this level required. They figured Kavanaugh would collapse by this point.
I would suggest one outcome of this...once you have one of the four Democratic Justices die or abruptly retire....Trump will spend an entire year in delaying the replacement.

I never thought she would. Having to defend yourself against unknown questions in front of a nationwide audience is an intimidating thought. On top of that, she has known psychological issues that might suddenly manifest themselves in unknown ways. It doesn’t add up for. She’s a no show.
In other words, an academic.

That’s why the GOP has a female prosecuting attorney doing the questioning. She’ll know how to break through the water works.
THAT is why the Dems are ticked. The GOP has pre-maneuvered to counteract the hysterics and histrionics.
They will try and impugn the attorney’s conduct, but since she has a background in prosecuting these kind of cases, the “sleazy defense attorney” attack will not be that effective.
I wonder how many “crazy cat lady” protest outbursts Grassley will tolerate before clearing the hearing room?
I keep thinking of the scene in Advise and Consent when the Burgess Meredith character (Herbert Gelman), who was to impugn the Henry Fonda character (Robert Leffingwell) as a one-time Communist, is forced to admit his own mental illnesses to the point where his last line of testimony, after being told, "Perhaps you don't remember other things for sure," replied, "Well, if I did, would anybody believe me?"
The main difference, of course, is that in the movie Gelman was telling the truth and Leffingwell had been in a Communist cell as a young man, while in the present situation Ford is evidently incorrect and Kavenaugh is being slandered.
Is there a Christine Blasey Ford or are they trying to build one before tomorrow ?
Bottom line: If she does not show there is no need for Kav to say anything or even appear before the committee. If she no shows it's time to vote.
The speaking gigs, fame, and victim status on the left are already in the bag, no matter if she appears at the hearing or not. It is another variation of the "big lie" technique.
In the current iteration, no woman is capable of lying about being abused by men.
Therefore everying they say becomes Absolute Truth on the left.
Otherwise she would be huddled and surrounded by coaches, lawyers and advisors in a location close to D.C. which would not be hard to find.

If she was really going to testify her handlers probably would have trotted her out into public to “acclimate” her to the highly charged environment she’s walking into. Taking someone who is totally unprepared into an event of this magnitude seems like it would be a very risky thing to do.
They could also set up a fake pantomime hearing (just like they did with Sandra Fluke) and have the lamestream media dutifully parrot the video as being her actual testimony.

Yep. Legal minefield for her. Imagine if she testifies and makes a mistake. She could face perjury charges. If convicted she might lose her sinecure at the university as a felon.
Maybe the actress who is being trained to impersonate her is in the final stages of her prep.

Much can happen during a delay.
I was assigned to a unit that investigated these cases and worked closely with the local DA’s office during the investigations. When you first go to a unit like this, you believe every “victim”, but like anything else you soon learn that things aren’t always as they seem. Then you learn that some of the “victims”, if not a very significant percentage of them are lying or are being coached to achieve a certain outcome or support an agenda. In some cases, the “victims” act alone because they want to try and get rid of the mothers boyfriend, get rid of the stepdad, or get some kid in trouble because he won’t talk to her anymore.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3690787/posts?page=16#16Either way, it really doesn’t take long to find out if someone is lying.
Where does all of that lead to, many times(if not most) you’re not only trying to find out what happened and ALSO what DIDN’T happen. These units are overwhelmed with cases. And when it’s a legitimate case, it needs the resources and dedication it deserves. Those REAL cases don’t need to be short changed by a lie. Therefore, bringing in this prosecutor could be their way of letting them know that Kavanaugh’s side doesn’t just have a loudmouth liberal legal team, but someone with real life experience. Also, unless it’s just a big show, take note of how much Ford’s team is complaining about the prosecutor. Ford, et al, weren’t expecting this kind of push back, even though we all wish they’d push back some more.
the best reason for Ford to skip the meeting is she’s been living as a victim in her mind for decades, so skipping the meeting will asure her mind can stay in it’s comfy “memories” and self made/counseling made delusions.
No need for her to accept truth or any responsibility of maybe having chosen to put herself in bad situation or that fact its 35 plus years later and let it go, or seek God and get her whole life starightened out. Much easier to stay in her joy of self delusion that this was sooooo important to waste huge tax payer dollars and time over her life long lack of self control and dealing with her problems properly and timely.
