Members of the United Nations laughed during President Donald Trump’s speech to the General Assembly after he claimed that his White House had accomplished “almost more than any administration in the history” of the United States.
The non-laugh line and the amusement from the audience that followed knocked Trump off from his prepared text, before he improvised: “So true. Didn’t expect that reaction but that’s okay.”

Absolutely.
I caught that too but could not understand why they laughed. I assume it was his attempt to maybe sound humble by saying “almost”. I thought it an odd hedge for him to take.
The left sites are saying they laughed due to him taking too much credit, bragging, but I doubt if they’d laugh at that. But they might laugh at his attempt to sound humble.
It was a great speech. Covered all the bases.

To be fair, why would he feel the need to tout his accomplishments as president of the US when the audience is the UN. That kind of thing is more for a State of the Union or one of his rallies. I think that’s why the laughter
