One of the attorneys for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Judge Brett Kavanaugh's first sexual assault accuser, sent a letter late Monday night to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley expressing concerns about the format of Thursday's hearings.
In his letter, attorney Michael Bromwich expressed concern over an experienced sex crimes prosecutor coming in to help with the hearings. More than anything, Bromwich immediately demanded a copy of the prosecutor's resume after arguing that there is no need for him or her to be present. His argument: neither Ford nor Kavanaugh are on trial.
Bromwich also said Ford's team is not convinced that she will receive a "fair and credible" process because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Ford's accusations are a "smear campaign" put together by the Democrats as a means of keeping Kavanaugh from being confirmed.

He sure does. It annoyed me during the hearings (which I watched WAY too many hours of) when the harpies in the gallery would screech, Grassley would wait, then continue. Any sensible person would have cleared the gallery of screeching harpies - not him. He praised their exerting their “right to free speech” (by interrupting a congressional hearing?!), told the congressmen the harpies would be eating into their time (thereby ensuring more interruptions) and allowed the misbehavior to continue. Some people, at the time, excused his lousy leadership by saying “well, he’s letting them show themselves for the rearholes they really are!” - well, you could say the same thing about the slut of the week against Kavanaugh, couldn’t you? Thing is, these tactics are clearly working for the democrats and have put off the vote again and again and again when it should never have been put off at all.

That would be her one out, wouldn't it? That about 10 minutes in, the special prosecutor springs one or two perjury traps on her, and she suddenly is overcome with the vapors...

When an attorney is afraid of another attorney being allowed in the room, it's pretty obvious that they are hoping to get away with something improper, and/or that there is a huge hole in their position.
Have to give Grassely credit for the move to hire a counsel to do the questioning. There’s no way Ford will go under oath and be questioned by a sex crimes lawyer.
Also, remember last weekend, she was afraid to fly. Has she left California yet? If not, how will she make it?
I am still predicting either a nervous breakdown or staged suicide attempt before Thursday.

I think that would be my first question. “Dr Ford, the committee delayed the hearing so you could drive here from California, when did you leave California?’
Any way she answers, she looses credibility. If she says she was already on the east coast, the follow-up would be “Why did you tell the committee you needed time to drive here?”
If she says she drove from California, ask her if she was in Delaware at anytime over the past couple of weeks. If she’s been here since August, I’ll bet they already have her picture at her dad’s.
diGenova has some pretty well-placed sources. If she’s been here all this time, her first answer could kill her credibility.

I think she will show. She has been coached for almost 2 weeks no doubt including mock hearings. They will drug her to keep her even and reasonable. Because of this l am not optimistic because Flake and several others will gladly use anythng close to a credible performance as cover for a no vote and 2 no votes and it’s over. I hate to be a downer but that’s how l see it.
