This is an excellent article.

All of the three people named as witnesses in the incident, including the female, Leland Keyser, sent letters to the Senate, under oath, as did Kavanaugh.

None of Kavanaugh's accusers are willing to testify or provide any information under oath.

I may be wrong about this, but I believe a prospective witness in a Senate committee hearing can't even walk in the door without sending a sworn statement to the committee in advance ... just so the committee members would know why the hell the witness is even there in the first place.

They can hedge perjury all they want but they are dead to rights on defamation, both civil and criminal sides.

But there is a big one: the fact that she sent her letter accusing Kavanaugh to Rep. Anna Eshoo, who sits in a House seat of no importance to the Senate confirmation – and didn't send it to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who sits in a Senate seat of significant importance.

Hasn't this been debunked? The July 30th letter that I've seen posted in unredacted form clearly lists Dianne Feinstein as the intended recipient.

If the can get Ford under oath, then they should ask her what her mode of conveyance was when she travelled from Delaware to California in August.

Surely these Senators have the pull to get TSA and the airlines to pull travel records?!

Neither of these incidents would have seen the inside of a courtroom had we been dealing with an effective legal system - since we’re looking at lying thug ‘rats desperate to hang on the last assured seat of power they have, the Supreme Court, we’re seeing a kangaroo court a la Josef Stalin.....

I would really like Judge Kavanaugh to make the clear and loud announcement, that he intends to file criminal and civil charges for defamation and slander against his accusers.

AND-—IF Feinstein passed on a ‘letter’ to Grassley that had been tampered with—a different FONT in one paragraph—that would be TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE.

Feinstein has to face charges for doing such.

As if any of Kavanaugh’s “accusers” have anything to fear from the doormat beltway GOP.

I find it interesting that none of this turned up during the vetting Kavanaugh went through to be a judge, nor when Trump’s people vetted him for SCOTUS. Dems are scum...

The story of the accuser has been substantially nonfalsifiable — not only the date is not specific, even (IIRC) the year is. So is the location. So proving she is not telling the truth it is almost impossible to prove she is a liar. And thus not a single detail of her claim has been confirmed.

She did specify people who were there, but everyone of them has denied being there, or any memory of attending the party.

In addition, once these secondary, borderline insane claims came out, there was no desire by his opponents to get those making them before the committee as quickly as possible. Instead, there was only clamor for more delay. She does not want to go before the committee, and made all sorts of demands that only someone worried about being caught lying would make. that centuries of Anglo-American tradition be defied. To his credit, Sen. Grassley has refused.

While there are Internet rumors that she is in Maryland waiting to testify, there is no record of what would undoubtedly be the major event of her driving from California to DC. Now we are past the point where the latter would be feasible by Thursday.

I deduce (unless she is indeed in Maryland) that they are desperate not to put her before the committee under oath. The GOP needs to stick to its guns and hold the hearing as scheduled on Thursday. They have announced that she will testify first, and will presumably be interrogated by an attorney with a lot of experience in such questioning, and then Judge Kavanaugh will defend himself (and also undergo interrogation).

That is if she shows up at all. If she testifies and the Senate Judiciary committee refers to the Justice Department for perjury (which they would at this point because Judge Kavanaugh has been treated so disgracefully, the consequences will be most serious. Donald Trump is a vengeful man who never forgets.

So the strategy is to use increasingly revolting accusations to get the judge to withdraw. But it seems that to his immense credit (and that of his family) he will not. Thus, she must testify, provided only that the SJC sticks to the Thursday schedule. If she does testify the preposterousness of her story will emerge. All the Democrats will be able to do is fulminate against a bunch of men not believing the woman.

And in the end, it will come down to Sens. Snowe, Murkowski and Flake. As it always has. Mitch McConnell is often criticized for not being a reliable conservative, but he does know how to count, and has made unambiguous predictions that the judge will be confirmed. If the committee hearing goes ahead as scheduled on Thursday, and if the judge does not withdraw, he will become a justice.

Imagine five People standing together outside one Night when one of them says, look it’s a Flying Saucer.

The other four People look up and see nothing.

Who would be believed? Apparently Democrat Senators and their Supporters would believe there was a Flying Saucer. (but not really)

Now, here’s the dirty little secret. None of the Democrat Senators think this Woman is rational. They may think Ford experienced something, but teyt all know that 17 Year Old Bret Kavanaugh was not anywhere near there when “something” happened to her.

If we could only Waterboard those Rat Senators and get to the truth. Oh well.

What I find interesting about the letter is it reads like it was written by a 6th grader in remedial english. It doesn’t read like it was written by someone with a doctorate degree. I could certainly believe Feinstein wrote it.
