Ireland has for many years been the most Jew-hating Western government.
Why not they have recognised every disgusting thing on the planet recently? My own country is no better.
Well, it wasn’t back in the early 80s at least. My father could never have been openly Jewish back then if that were the case.

Apparently the most sane and decent Irish people live in America, esp. New York. My best buddy from NY has been a disabled Irish-American cop and his lovely Irish wife is such a gentlewoman and decent human being. Glad she left the island before she could be corrupted.
They have some concerns about the border with Northern Ireland and the Irish Sea, and these are concerns that the EU is exacerbating as a power play. Take note that this makes the EU the entity that breaks the Good Friday Agreement in many aspects.
