people keep saying the fBI doesn’t have jurisdiction but they are charged with doing background on nominees. Why wouldn’t this be in the scope of the FBI responsibility.
As I understand, the charges aren’t federal crimes, and no one is accusing Kavanaugh of lying during any of his six Federal background checks yet. For Ford’s and Ramirez’s accusations, Bethesda and New Haven, respectively, have jurisdiction, ignoring statute of limitations.
