Loving God,
Sometimes we pause and think about all the times You have rescued us----times when we were aware of Your hand holding us back, and times when we were completely unaware of what You did to prevent disaster in our lives. We simply marvel at Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace.
We rejoice in knowing that You show that same grace toward President Trump and Vice President Pence. We bless You, Lord, for preserving their lives and for delivering them from the wrath of their enemies. Thank You for keeping Your righteous right hand upon them. We pray for a continuous flow of wisdom and discernment into their souls, that in all their ways they may acknowledge You. We know You will direct their paths.
Father, please grant victory to Brett Kavanaugh in this debacle over his past. The stench of conspiracy and the plots and schemes of evil people have risen up against him. Let him not be moved. You are His Defender and Avenger. Give him the courage to stand and receive Your goodness as he waits upon You.
Lord, please guard our men and women in the military. Many face dangers daily, and yet You are with them, stretching out Your hand against the wrath of their enemies. Father, may Your right hand continue to deliver them.
Lord, bring peace to our nation, to its people, and to our government. Restore our commitment to You. We cannot comprehend a time when our need for You has been more desperate than right now. Give us a passion for the lost, and help us, Lord, to hasten the day of Christ's return by working daily to lead others to You. Bless Your people Israel, and may Your Name be glorified throughout this world because of our Savior's finished work upon the Cross. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
