There is no reason not to seat Kavanaugh. The House can impeach Scotus members under section 3, with a senate trial. Section 3 deals with improper behavior of Scotus members. So, she can scream ‘no voice’ all she wants, but since there is still a due process avenue available, she can do nothing except wait to see if the House and Senate are willing to impeach a seated Kavanaugh. Which is a little more involved than a simple committee hearing. And to impeach him on her behalf, they’re going to need a whooooollle lot of new evidence. And she will be forced to testify.
Hold the vote!
We now know why she picked Thursday. If they do vote not by Thursday it’s over, Kavanaugh can NEVER be seated. If she shows up Thursday there’s now way there will be a vote in time.
