There should be no negotiation. The repubs are weak kneed wimps who love giving their lunch money to democrats.
I walked away from a situation in which I was falsely accused. It was gut wrenching. But it was worse when I walked away (I moved). Some “friends” and neighbors thought that was an admission of guilt. To this day, there are people that believe that psycho. After 10 years, it still comes up from time to time and my reputation has never been fully healed. (a woman scorned claimed I harassed her when in fact she was stalking me after I rejected her advances)
This is a reasonable counter offer. The accuser is one down and the senate is one up because they appear reasonable.
HOWEVER, THAT IS THE FINAL OFFER, NUNCA, NADA, NO MORE OFFERS.

Went through the exact same thing. Turned out moving was a great idea and changed my life in a very positive manner. Crazy B*&th picked me at random, I didn’t know her and had never spoken to her until she approached me with a full history and plan for our life together. When I rejected her the hell started including a visit from her brothers that wanted to beat the crap out of me for wronging their sister.
