“...it looks like the deep state finally got a collar on Trump.”
Not at all.
This stuff is far more damaging to the Obama co-conspirators when third parties put it out there.
As soon a Trump, his attorneys, his press secretary, his chief of staff, or anyone perceived to be a close confidant are perceived to be behind the release the impact is weakened, because its too easy for the MSM to spin it as a politically motivated disclosure.
That is why Trump has been so painstakingly “hands off” and why he distances himself from his DOJ and his FBI. That way whatever comes out will be seen as independent.
He doesn’t want even the slightest appearance of a “weaponized” DOJ or FBI - as that is what Obama was guilty of. He wants to be above reproach so that when Obama’s conspiracy comes to light, people will see a stark contrast between his ultra transparent, impartial, hands off, “let the chips fall where they may” approach to justice vs. Obama’s corrupt, manipulative, scheming, blackmailing, heavy-handed favoritism.
How about, “Hand all the docs to me NOW, or you’re fired”? Screw his subordinates.
The documents are the documents. They will speak for themselves. JUST RELEASE THEM NOW, Mr. Trump.
Time to enact sanctions against the UK.
How about sanctions and closing their embassy?
That would be awesome. Send home a British residents in the US.
“Were trying to get to the bottom of foreign election meddling here!”
And the Russians are the Bogeyman of choice, no others will do.
The Trump campaign spying makes me realize that this is what "Five-Eyes" is now all about.
Originally, this was envisioned as a way for intelligence to be shared between participants about terrorist threats. Each of the participant countries (US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand) has laws against spying on their OWN citizens. So with Five-eyes, any country can recruit the other 4 to do the spying for them.
This might have started in good faith, as we all know that terrorists use our own laws against us all the time. But under Obama, it morphed into "outsourced" domestic spying. And, in the Trump campaign episode, it was done for purely political purposes - to advance the cause of the socialists/globalists.
Well, I guess Judge Napoliatano is smoking a cigar about now.
You sounds like a defeatist there. I see why people believe fake news. All will be revealed.
“The documents are the documents. They will speak for themselves. JUST RELEASE THEM NOW, Mr. Trump.”
He knows what he’s doing.
In the end it won't matter if some Brit or Aussies names are redacted, it will be obvious who they are. And the names of the US coup conspirators will be revealed no matter what.
0bungo was knee deep in trying to keep in this election scandal and a very good chance he ordered it
The time for blowing up the phony investigation passed many months ago.
This Trump derangement syndrome is quite strong, even in Canada where lots of people routinely travel to the U.S., we keep hearing from snowflake acquaintances that we shouldn’t go “there” while “he” is in power.
So I asked, why not, the only money I spend is in coffee shops, campgrounds, national parks and gas stations. Most of their employees are probably Democrats. So if I boycott, the only actual result will be laid off Democrats.
Hey, maybe they have a point, I’ll have to look into this a bit more (not).
Yep, Trump is pretty dangerous alright, I mean look at this Korean business, we’re on the brink of peace there.
So two of our allies dont want the docs declassified. Are they saying they were involved with the people at the FBI DOJ to stop are remove the president? Doc only concern things pertaining to stopping Trump. Was the British Gov spying on Trump April 2016 and they don’t want it coming out?
I think yes
Re “prosecuting foreign spies and/or collaborating DS Spooks”.
The best thing Trump and Sessions could do re the Brits would be to subpoena Christopher Steele for things he did that affected U.S. foreign and domestic policy as an unregistered foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
1. He was a former British counterintelligence officer (so the story goes) who was using Russian contacts (3 or more) to create a dossier that would be used in the coming US presidential primaries and election. That would constitute a foreigner interfering in the U.S. election process and knowingly accepting help from an adversarial foreign govt (those “contacts” didn’t just walk in the door and offer their services. They were “plants” of the Putin dictatorship. That’s how this works).
2. Since he was paid by a U.S. political party (Democrat Party through cut-outs, the DNC, Fusion GPS, Coie-Perkins, etc), he was directly and deliberately interfering in a US election (because of his hatred for Trump), as opposed to doing just a strictly research project.
For tax purposes, this money laundering is illegal because it came from a political party, the Democrats, under the table (Coie-Perkins to give it attorney-client privileged work product protection), Fusion GPS as a recipient of the dossier and money from the DNC to pay Steele, possibly illegal because Steele was a foreign national who could not legally interfere in a US election, esp. as a former foreign intelligence office with extensive ties to the Russians. This relationship made him very vulnerable to “blackmail” by the KGB/SFB, etc. Thus he was a “security risk” the second he made contacts with the “3 Russians” over the dossier.
3. The money itself may have been “illegal” because of the purpose it was used for, and it would be interesting to have an honest IRS investigation of the “money trail” from the DNC thru Coie-Perkins to Fusion GPS to Steele and possibly others involved.
4. The role of Australian, British, and possibly Italian intelligence and diplomatic people approaching US citizens to get them involved in the “dossier scheme” would be illegal per se so just exposing that operation on an international level would add new elements into foreign countries directly interfering in our elections. Those individual identified by Papa and Page, under oath, should be banned from ever entering the US (no matter what their official capacity was) and if they did try, they would be detained by ICE/DHS and served congressional subpoenas on the spot, taken into custody as “material witnesses”, and NOT let out to diplomatic custody in their countries diplomatic missions in the U.S.
This technique was one that thwarted an attempt by U.S. Rep. Don Edwards (D-Ca) in the 1980’s to let two indicted American citizen Soviet spies (Dodd and Fields) back in the country to live out their days. Edwards was as hardcore a communist sympathizer and FBI hater as was ever seen in the U.S. Congress and he had a lot of competition for that title. (The full story of this event has hardly been written other than by myself and one or two conservative former intell people).
4. The Congress should subpoena and bring in for testimony Halper, Greenburg (whoever that is), Mifsud (a citizen of Malta) and others. Their passports, if US citizens, should be revoked until they cooperate, and their financial accounts frozen/seized to make sure they don’t try to flee the country.
Halper, Greenburg, etc. could be held in jail as “material witnesses” re espionage against the US by Russia. A couple months in Ft. Leavenworth (as a precursor to future permanent residency), might shake a few memories loose before Congress.
Then put them before a grand jury, let them either talk or go to jail for the life of that jury. Then reconvene another grand jury, bring them back before it and start the talk or jail process all over again. It can go on for a long time and I don’t think jail would be agreeable to Halper, Greenburg, etc.
5. Meanwhile, have Papa (and his wife) and Page tell Congress everything they know about how they were set up by the above “persons”.
That would provide grounds for more congressional subpoenas, etc.
6. Get the head of the CIA (past - Brennan) and present (Coates?) to talk about the whole shebang. If Brennan refuses to talk, jail his ass forever and take away his security clearance forever.
7. The same for the former heads of the FBI and its Counter-Intelligence unit/National Security Division.
Tie these bastards up in so many supoenas and arrest warrants that they would look like a human pile of papers.
Then take away their passports as well as freeze their assets.
They wanted to overthrow the President/government of the United States? Well, now meet the full judicial weight and power of the US.
Sessions will be gone next year as well as most heads of the FBI, State Department Deep Staters, Brennan’s comrades in the CIA, and Clapper’s bellringers in the office of the DNI.
Time to start cleaning house with Semtex and ExLax, so when the shit hits the fan, it will be those mentioned above who will be chopped up in it.
“I don’t know what the hell is going on, but it looks like the deep state finally got a collar on Trump. I can’t believe I am saying that. “
I really think Trump maybe ‘under the gun’.
None of this is good.
The Brits and the Auzzies don’t want the FISA documents disclosed to the American public?! Why?! What do they know and when did they know it?!
