New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has a very interesting view of Brett Kavanaughs alleged actions. You might even call this a Spartacus moment for the Senator, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
As the world knows, Judge Kavanaugh, 17 years old at the time, is being accused of assaulting a 15-year-old Christine Blasey (now Ford) when both were in high school. Blasey did not report the incident to authorities or apparently anyone else at the time. Thus, no charges were filed much less was Kavanaugh prosecuted. Again, if the charges are true and there is zero evidence that is the case, not to mention that Kavanaugh not only denies the incident but also that he was even at the party in question true high schooler Kavanaugh was 17 years old at the time.
As it happens, Senator Booker is a sponsor of something called the REDEEM Act with the GOPs Senator Rand Paul. The proposed legislation centers on expunging the records of juveniles convicted of non-violent crimes, thus ensuring some teenage mistake does not follow them for a lifetime. While what Kavanaugh is accused of presumably would be classified as violent, again, he was never charged much less prosecuted for this.
But in an explanation of his concern for teenagers who get in trouble, as here at the Senators website, Booker says this, bold print supplied:
Studies of youth brain development have found that the decision-making functions of the brain do not fully develop until much later than was previously believed to be the case. Despite this, some states still try 17-, and even 16,-year-olds as adults by default.

Oops. There goes the Democrat argument for the 16th year old vote.
Slick Willy was just getting started at 17.
Spooky Tooth is in the Howse!
Can only be one explanation: He did something far worse when he was 17.
What did Booker do at 17 that he is hiding?

His Auntie
It’s how his aunt Stella got her groove back.
Personally, I think we under-estimate the abilities of kids. Having read ‘Two Years Before the Mast’, where a twelve-year old goes to sea without his parents, it’s hard to take seriously that teenagers are unable to control themselves or make sensible decisions. We just no longer hold them accountable & consequently they continue to act in an immature manner, long after it should be acceptable.
Of course, I doubt this applies to Kavanaugh. I have no doubt that if this event took place, Ms. Blasey-Ford is recalling someone else entirely.
This is a backhanded way for Booker to claim that he actually assaulted the girl. Yeah, he did it, but it’s understandable.
Damned with faint praise.
Booker is a scumbag I wouldn’t let mow my lawn.
In college column, Cory Booker revealed time he groped friend, and she resisted (oldie but goodie)

On the other hand, teens don’t miraculously change their maturity and wisdom levels on their 17th birthday. Nor do they all develop at the same rate.
Is Booker still talking..
I am Spartacus speaks. Bwahahahaha
bkmk
I’ll bet over half the Democrat women in Congress assaulted boys when they were teenagers too. Let them lead by example, by resigning.
Proof that there must be some evidence against him somewhere, meaning Booker.
Hell, investigate them all, God only knows what dirty thoughts are going on in their little high school minds.
And can we please get the voting back up to 21?
Thanks in advance.
He grew up in suburban NJ and attended a predominantly white high school. It would be very shocking if his past is pristine and he no doubt knows that something will emerge if he declares as a Presidential candidate. Suffice it to say he is not happy that with this situation.
