Grassley is a weak tit. He has no idea how to deal with democrats and always lapses back into the craven bowl of jello he is. This circus should be shut down but republicans don’t have the sand needed to make it happen. Just once it would be nice to see a Republican with a spine outside the White House.
This is a very delicate issue. So far I think he’s handling it exactly right.
Sadly, not everyone sees this the way we do. We need to seem respectful as we slowly slip the knife in and twist. A shotgun blast to the face, though righteously deserved, would be a huge political mistake in this situation.

It’s less than six weeks to midterms. There is more involved than saying “no”.
Grassley stopped a vote on Merrick Garland, but otherwise he seems to have no understanding of due process of law.
