We know him and he has been begging for help with this situation for years. Border Patrol is stationed too far away from ranch.

Yes, I have met several of the ranchers and they are begging the government to help them. They can’t go anywhere on their ranches without being armed.

There is a huge Border Patrol presence at Sonoita, twenty miles northeast from Nogales and an equal distance from the border. Scores of vehicles can be seen parked there every day. For years locals have urged that the useless station be moved to the west. To a location where intense vehicle patrol could be utilized along the border and the length of Ruby Road to the west of Nogales as far as the border crossing at Why,AZ. This would stop the use of the Chilton Ranch as a passageway.
