One can simply get the internals and see who likely was oversampled in these numbers and then you can create in your own mind what the numbers are really like.

Rasmussen has the latest “is the country heading in the right direction or wrong track” number at minus 7, with 44% in the right versus 51% in the wrong. At the start of this year, it was minus 18%, with 38 saying right and 56 saying wrong. At about this time in September 2010 (Obama’s first midterm and his losing Congress in just that first one after the Dems had it for just two years), this number was at minus 37%, with 29 percent saying on the right track versus 66 percent saying on wrong track.

While there might be that enthusiasm for wanting to get at Trump on the Dem side, you can not help but observing these other numbers and the story they quietly, but probably that bit more clearly, tell about the actual mood of the voting public.
