Please consider South Carolina and specifically Aiken County where I live. Very different from and not close to CA but very few socialists.
I moved here in 2003 from Louisville, KY after spending six months researching a good place to live. The Good Lord above lead me here and I’m very happy.
Aiken County is a wonderful place. Across the river from Augusta, GA. Couple big reservoirs nearby with good fishing and rec. Don’t miss historic Abbeville a county over.
I would love to, but hubby is adamant that he will not live in the humid East and due to a medical condition he cannot handle elevation. Everything in the West is liberal. So we are at an impasse.
