Claire McCaskill and Josh Hawley spar in first Senate debate
CBS ^ | September 14, 2018

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill and Republican opponent Josh Hawley faced off in their first debate Friday afternoon. The two spent much of the debate attacking each other, with Hawley finishing several answers by calling McCaskill a "Washington liberal" out of touch with Missouri values. Both candidates emphasized their relationships with President Trump, with Hawley embracing Trump talking points on immigration and other issues, and McCaskill trying to assert her independence from both the president and the Democrats. "I'm the only candidate in this race that has a proven track record of bipartisan accomplishments," McCaskill said.

"What Missourians want is a senator who hasn't forgotten where he's from," Hawley said in his opening statement. He accused McCaskill of being a partisan actor and an antagonist to Mr. Trump, who won Missouri by 19 points in 2016. McCaskill is considered to be one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for re-election in the Senate this year.

Like every election, if the Republican is elected people will DIE! Mccaskill will just explain what she REALLY meant when she said what she said and she did what she did, and the voters will understand that she’s one of them and has only their best interests at heart.

“McCaskill is considered to be one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for re-election in the Senate this year.”

*APPLAUSE*

Wisconsin is working hard to rid America of Senator Tammy Baldwin (Congress-Lesbian, D, WI), too!

She’s already running very negative ads, which to me, signals her internal polls show her already losing and the Koch Brothers have spent $6 million against her so far.

Go, Leah Vukmir (R, WI)!

Here’s the Parade of LOSERS, provided by, *GASP* MSN, LOL!

Sen Heller needs to take the lead in NV , and we need to keep TN & AZ.

Bipartisan? Her record tells a different tale. Back for her election year dog and pony show claiming to not be the far-left liberal that she is.

Hopefully Missouri will not fall for this nonsense from her again.

Unfortunately the Republicans are not raising as much money to run as many ads. I wish President Trump, when he tweets out his support and congratulations for these candidates, would include a link to their donation pages - he has so many followers that even if a small handful donated a few bucks a piece to the candidates they would have millions to run a full campaign - $10 million is just one million people donating an average of $10 a piece. Very doable...just has to be organized...and he has that organization with just a tap on a smart phone.

I have seen plenty of DeSantis Ads in Florida. Mostly positive Ads, not negative Ads against his socialist opponent Gillum.

Yes, some people do have reservations about Leah Vukmir. I, for one, do not.

The Koch brothers do what is in the best interest of The Koch Brothers; always have, always will.

Leah has been a Wisconsin Senator since 2011 and was in our Assembly prior to that. She is a rock-ribbed Governor Walker supporter, as well as a Trump backer. She did her part to take Wisconsin back from total ‘Rat control.

She won’t disappoint Wisconsinites once she makes it to The Big Leagues. And if she does? She’ll hear about it! We hold Senator Ron Johnson’s feet to the fire, too!

Mitch McConnell controls the Senate PAC money. Could be that DeSantis is a conservative. Mitch has done as much to hurt conservatives as much as any democrat has done.

What Missourians want...

I suggest they want a senator that doesn’t actively work to replace the Republic with dictatorial socialism.

Probably because the RNC didn’t want him to win. The RNC is a friend to RINOs, not true conservatives and reformers like DeSantis. For this reason, send your campaign contributions directly to the candidate of your choice, not the RNC. They will use your money against you.

Well, Ron corrected President Trump by saying 3,000 did die in the hurricane that hit Puerto Rico.

What a fine gentleman running there.
