Six Facts Say Papadopoulos Is Right to Think Downer, FBI Set Him Up

Australian diplomat and intelligence player has long been linked to — guess who! — Clintons and the FBI

Former Trump campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos (shown above center) may need look no further than the Clinton Foundation to explain why former Australian diplomat Alexander Downer (above left) just happened to meet up with him in a London bar two years ago. “The notion that Downer randomly reached out to me just to have a gin and tonic is laughable,” Papadopoulos tweeted late Monday. “Some organization or entity sent him to meet me. For the sake of our republic and the integrity of this investigation, I think it’s time Downer is as exposed as Christopher Steele.” Here are six key facts: 1.) Downer enabled Clinton Foundation corruption. He was a key factor in the Australian government’s $25 million grant in 2006 to the Clinton Foundation for anti-HIV/AIDs activities, which a subsequent audit was never able to document as having actually been completed. In other words, as so often happens with the Clinton Foundation, millions of dollars supposedly intended for good causes somehow just disappear. 2.) Downer tipped the FBI about Papadopoulos.

If Sessions ( " the insurance" ) did not recuse himself ( this was not criminal but counter-intelligence therefore no legal reason to recuse ) appointed a Special Prosecutor there would have already been indictments, arrests and convictions.

REFERENCE: From 2001-2005 there was an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Guess who took over this investigation in 2002? None other than Comey. Comey was the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from January 2002 to December 2003. A Grand Jury had been empanelled. Governments from around the world had donated to the “Clinton Charity”. Yet, from 2001 to 2003 none of those “Donations” to the Clinton Foundation were declared.

Then-State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman gave the Clinton Foundation a pass on identifying foreign donors in its charitable filings — making it impossible to know if it got any special favors while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, according to a Scripps News report.

Scripps News found that the foundation and its subsidiary, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, took in $225 million in government donations between 2010 and 2014. New York’s charity law clearly states: “Organizations that received a contribution or grant from a government agency during the reporting period shall include the name of each agency from which contributions were received and the amount of each contribution.”

But both the foundation and the CHAI failed to do that, and Schneiderman, a member of Clinton’s “leadership council” in New York and a fierce critic of Donald Trump, did nothing about it.

Other charities complied, including the George W. Bush foundation, which reported receiving $5 million from Saudi Arabia and $500,000 from Kuwait.

On its website, the Clinton Foundation reveals its foreign donors, but using only broad ranges, such as $5 million to $10 million, without any time frames. The IRS doesn’t require such disclosures.

The real question is whether Mifsud was a FBI plant. Mueller’s explanation of why Papadopoulos’ “lie” was material was that if they’d known what date he met with Misfud they would have interviewed Misfud earlier. Misfud disappeared. Probably because Meuller wanted him to. If Misfud was an FBI plant then some of Meullers prosecutors have some splaining to do.

Excactly the opposite in fact. Aleander Downer was John Howard's Foreign Minister, the longest serving Foreign Minister in Australian history.

His role as Australian High Commissioner in London was a valedictorial sendoff at the end of a long career - the job is high prestige, not very demanding and allows the person involved to mix with royalty. Downer is a snob - old money, his grandfather was one of Australia's founding fathers and a Knight, his father was a Knight. But he's also very smart and very competent. And conservative - at one point, he was the leader of the Australian Liberal Party (the main conservative party), Leader of the Opposition, and a potential Prime Minister - he preceded John Howard in these roles.

Downer's supposed connections to the Clinton Foundation are exaggerated. The Australian Government donated $25 million to the Clinton Foundation to be spent on HIV programs while Downer was Foreign Minister, but it's relatively unlikely Downer had any real involvement in that decision - it would have been way below his pay grade as Foreign Minister to decide that, just a routine transfer of Australian aid money to an NGO operating out of a friendly country. He would have had to sign off on it, but that would have been a rubber stamp.

I'm far from convinced he ever met with Papadopolous to be honest, but it isn't impossible, he might have had a drink with him. And if he did, he probably would have passed on any information he had to Australian intelligence - and if Papadopolous wasn't aware of that, he'd be an idiot - he was talking to a man who was functionally an Australian Ambassador (the term isn't used between Commonwealth countries but that is what a High Commissioner is, in effect). I could see somebody in Australian intelligence - with or without authorisation - passing on such information to British intelligence. But I would be relatively surprised if Downer himself was indiscreet with information.
