Get those babies out of the way of this killer hurricane!
We went on a beach vacation & my nieces were 2 & 3. A hurricane* was approaching - at the time, nowhere near as dangerous as this one & we likely would have been fine, but we evacuated. My brother said putting little kids like that in danger was something he could not do - if it was just himself, then he would stay, but he could not guarantee he could keep them safe if something bad happened. This mother is making a terrible mistake, IMO - I hope she doesn’t pay a severe price for deliberately keeping her small kids in harm’s way. The house means NOTHING when compared to the value of human life.
*This was Hurricane Bob [1991] - just brushed the Outer Banks of NC (where we were vacationing), then went on to become one of the costliest hurricanes in New England history.
Do those kids have a dad? If so, where the heck is he?!
Somebody ought to tell her about the folks who had decided to have a Hurricane Party in Galveston when Camille hit.
Well, lady, 83 is a big number.
Have fun.
That idiot woman will get her children killed.....................
The lady with the kids should realize that those buildings are very likely to get obliterated.
I rode on a Greyhound through Gulfport, MS after Katrina.
Almost everything within about 1,000 feet of the Gulf of Mexico was gone. Bare lots with some trees remained.
I saw no trace of the multi-story hotel I once stayed in.
East New Orleans looked like Berlin in late 1945.
Water is the most dangerous part of a hurricane. The waves will batter floatsam against those buildings until they crumble, creating even more floatsam to batter buildings even better.
Inland, the flooding from the rain will be horrible.
A modest creek in the heavy rain area will become a highly dangerous torrent.
I was in a Florida hurricane with 80 mph winds and three of the trees in my backyard were partially blown over because of oversaturated soil.
Oh my....
Wow! Product of leftist insanity I see. Poor kids.
Strength in numbers?! They’re not fending off wolves.
This is a parody - right?
Waves that high could break right over a barrier island. If the entire island is under water, strength is not going to matter for anything. There will be no refuge.
Strength in numbers. When 3 of them are kids and girls for that matter, the strength you’ll need is holding the string while flying them as kites. What a moron!
I’m sure the waves will be scared and reconsider.
Prayerfully, she’ll realize before it’s too late that the hurricane’s numbers are stronger than her family’s.

Idiotic mother, putting her children’s lives at risk.
