I had friends at church who spent a few years in South Africa. Both son and daughter were born there. Parents are US citizens. When the started college, they sought to join the African-American club on campus. They were denied. They were the only ones in the room that were actual African Americans. The others were just black Americans. Their problem was their genetics. Blue eyed, red haired, fair complexions...what you would expect of Scottish ancestry.

He was accused of not have the right percentages of black and hispanic employees. He called them all to an assembly with the compliance inspector present. Upon counting his staff and accounting by race, he observed that he actually had too many blacks and hispanics. It would be necessary to fire the excess. The inspector was exposed as a fool and dismissed from the company property. Nobody was fired.
