I was away on vacation during the McCain week-long (?) funeral spectacle, although I did see most of the National Cathedral one. I believe Rush was out during the McCain-a-palooza... he's just reviewing what happened while he was gone.
Agree wholeheartedly with Rush: The McCain funeral spectacle was nauseating... way over the top for a U.S. Senator. Especially knowing egomaniac McCain planned it all himself (and didn't invite President Trump nor Sarah Palin). You were NEVER President, Juan McCain!!
I like where he mentioned the sparse numbers that bothered to watch McCain’s caisson trip through Washington, as compared to Reagan’s.
Of course the nationwide respect shown Reagan was far far beyond what McCain was given.
People in California pulled their cars to a full stop on a busy Southern California Freeway, exited their cars, and walked the center divider to pay respects to Reagan as his hearse and funeral procession passed by.
To do that sort of thing, you have to have a pretty unanimous mind-meld, as there would be danger if other cars kept whizzing by.
