Meanwhile, the last time I checked, high school and college football attendance was still strong ... as was attendance at Trump MAGA rallies!

When you don’t know and lose touch with your fan base not the corporate skybox season ticket holders, this is what you get, a fading brand never to recover.

Actually, announced attendance dropped 3.2% in football’s top division last season, and schools’ ticket scans show even fewer fans in stands.

We were at a new “pub grub” restaurant that had a couple of NFL games on the big screens. I notice they try to avoid camera shots of the stands, when they did there were quite a few empty seats, and not just way up in the corners of the nosebleed sections. It reminded me of when I was a kid, before wrestling got big, matches were sparsely attended and typically held in small arenas such as the old Sunnyside Gardens in Queens, the Commack Arena on LI, the Teaneck Amrory, the Hesterly Armory in Tampa, etc, venues that had at most a 1500-2000 seat capacity. The cameras and audio equipment would be set up in such a way as to make those places appear noisier and more crowded than they actually were. I see the NFL trying to pull that same tactic in the near future.

The NFL games I watched, the stadiums were packed and everyone I know was excited it was week 1. It was a great Sunday of games!

Good...organizations that get woke deserve to go broke. This is what winning looks like.

I believe one of the biggest things that is keeping the NFL from going off the cliff is Fantasy Football.

Even people who know little or nothing are playing at work and keeping an eye on the games.

If the players stood proudly for our Flag and Anthem, and it is all shown on broadcast, maybe ratings could come back?

Not here they won't, Mr. President.
Never again.

I guess these kneelers are to stupid to realize that the US Flag is on the back of every helmet that they wear.

I have an older friend who has maintained a box in the Superdome for years - he stopped it last year and now goes around to Ole Miss and other college games to get his football fix...

Televise NCAA football games on Sunday. Win Win. If the pro’s like competition, let’s have some.

Sadly, Americans will soon forget just like they did after 9/11 and electing a muzzy. The NFL is hoping to outlast short memories and get the stadiums full again.

This whole thing about the NFL losing viewership and popularity is mostly just wishful thinking on our part.

Yeah, the numbers dropped a little last year, but not as much as we would like. Most fan just don’t care, or just shrug off the kneeling and disrespect.

The stadiums were mostly full yesterday, and are likely to remain so throughout the season.

The NFL is dead to me. I’ll never watch another game. But, I’m in the minority.

Nothing would make me happier than to see empty stadiums during the Veteran’s Day boycott, but I expect to see the stadiums full that day.

Bread and circuses.

The NFL reports though ESPN that attendance at the Baltimore game was 99.4%

This is what 99.4% looks like, according to the NFL.
