Federal prosecutors have impaneled a grand jury to investigate former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe following the Department of Justice inspector generals report alleging that McCabe approved a media disclosure to advance his personal interests.
The Washington Post reported that the grand jury has summoned more than one witness and the case is still underway. It remains unclear who were summoned to testify.

The writing is a little awkward, but it contains so interesting tidbits. My question is, who got called to testify and did it lead to the flurry of crazy that we have been treated to in the past 48 hours?

This is like going after Ted Bundy for a parking violation. And I doubt that they will even find he did anything wrong.

I really am crossing my fingers that the mother of all October surprises is quietly underway. I’m so sick of all the crazy.

The exact charges, if there are any, would be crucial.
If he would be convicted of leaking classified information, he could lose his pension and benefits.
A “a media disclosure to advance his personal interests” doesn’t even sound like a statutory crime if the information is ‘confidential’ to his job rather than actually classified.
I’d bet this is just a DOJ CYA exercise to placate Congress..

Yup.
There was one single criminal referral from the IG. And that referral was a McCabe leak that actually made Obama and Hillary look bad. McCabe leaked to the WSJ that an Obama DOJ official tried to stop the Clinton email investigation.
I believe this will be the matter before the grand jury.
Big wup!

Why isn’t Hillary under investigation by an impartial grand jury?

my only question is where is the grand jury. If it is in the District of communism this is a deep state exoneration just like hillary. Don’t get too excited.

If he is indicted will the media refer to him as a former Obama DOJ official over and over again?

I told you mean-old FReepers. Fricking told you that Sessions is kicking ass behind the scenes. One grand jury does not an ass kicking make. I'd say it more like Sessions is lamely poking some sacrifical ass to show he's doing something.

I really am crossing my fingers that the mother of all October surprises is quietly underway It is actually the mother of all December surprises. What you are seeing here are leaks that are designed to fire up the liberal base to show up and vote. Look at who is reporting this - the WaPo. They would love for DOJ to arrest every leading Dem so they can scream out loud and excite the base. That is not going to happen - until AFTER the election.
As the wheels of justice grind slowly on the Swamp-Coup, lame-stream-media outlets like WaPo and the Slimes will suddenly be reporting every investigation, GJ or sealed indictment until election day, after which the coverage will vanish, even as historic criminal behavior is revealed.
